I’ve rounded up 5 fried rice recipes (see my blog post here) and thought I’d do the same for my favourite easy one bowl (+ a small pot, for some!) noodle recipes that I love to make on busy days when I only have a few minutes to spare.
I love to cook noodles in all shapes, thickness, sizes because of its versatility. It also pairs well with different types of sauces and add-ins like tofu (or other protein of choice) and vegetables.
MY NOODLE ESSENTIALS
- Noodles, of course! If you’re gluten-free, rice noodles and vermicelli will be great alternatives to wheat-based noodles.
- A good, tasty sauce to bring it all together!
- Chili oil or chili sauce. Pairs really well with any type of noodle flavour combo, in my opinion! This is of course if you love heat (like i do!)
NOTES FOR MAKING THESE NOODLE RECIPES
1- Cooking can vary depending on the noodles you use
- Some noodles like dry wheat noodles will require you to boil these in a pot of water.
- Some noodles like frozen or instant udon in packets can be cooked in the microwave since these are already cooked to begin with
2 – All sauces and flavouring are easily customised to suit your taste
3 – Add-ins are totally up to you! Sometimes I like to have my noodles with some blanched veggies or strips of extra firm smoked tofu or even just leftover tofu I have in the fridge.
