Deliciously crispy air-fried dumplings paired with gochujang mayo! I only recently discovered the wonders of an air-fryer and low how it gets food crisp with minimal oil.

Air-Fryer Dumplings or Mandu with Gochujang Mayo

THE DUMPLINGS

I actually used frozen mandu from the brand Wang. These are vegetable dumplings and they're vegan! I get them from the freezer section of my local Korean grocery.

Note: no need to thaw your dumplings! Air-fry them directly from frozen.

AIR FRYING THE DUMPLINGS

  • You can opt to preheat your air fryer but I skipped this step. I use a 4.5L air fryer.
  • Place the frozen dumplings in your air fryer basket. Spray/brush with oil.
  • Air-fry your frozen dumplings at 200C for 10 minutes and the remaining 5 minutes at 150C. You can also flip your dumplings halfway through cooking or shake it around the air-fryer basket.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the mayo. Simply mix and feel free to adjust to your taste!!
  • If your dumplings are still lacking that golden brown exterior, you can leave it on for another 3-5 minutes at 150 C.
  • Note: Cooking time and heat can vary depending on your air fryer of course.

GOCHUJANG MAYO

I mixed together:

  • 1 tbsp vegan mayo
  • 1/2-1 tbsp gochujang adjust according to desired heat
  • 1-2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • Sprinkle of sesame seeds

Feel free to adjust to your taste and desired heat!

ENJOY YOUR AIR FRIED DUMPLINGS!

I actually enjoyed these as finger food and dipped it in the gochujang mayo. So good!
